Intuition
The existence of intuition has been argued, proved, disproved, believed or denied since very long ago. Some think of it as a supernatural force like taking a little step into the sixth sense, some might access it in a more scientific manner. I believe that intuition is something very natural within our minds (and the minds of other animals) that it has exited since the dawn of our species and it is an essential part of our survival instinct even though our mind tends to overrule or deny it, for better or worse
Has it ever occurred to you that whenever you are forced to choose or been in a grave dilemma? Has it turned out in the end that the first thought that arrived in your mind had been the right solution to the problem? Some say that it is intuition that tells one what to do and then it is messed up with too much thought. This means that sometimes there can be found something that can be identified as intuition.
Identify something as intuition is only half-way there. One must try to unravel the components of this mental feat. Some say it is mental or divine powers, but the version I am about to offer is something more akin to science than magic. To me it seems that intuition is like a synthesis among human perception senses and previous experience. Indeed I am implying that intuition is your own mind working quick and hard to attain the most favorable outcome.
The human brain is capable of astonishing feats even in a brink of second. Human subconscious mind works a lot faster than the conscious mind that is a fact. It seems that one’s subconscious mind analyses the surrounding environment and patterns, using the common human perception organs, eyes, ears, nose, touch and sometimes even taste, and arrives at an answer within fractions of second.
Not only the perception is used to synthesize the intuition “prediction” previous experience of similar situations or similar patterns are also used. Intuition might assume that the outcome of these similar situations might match the previous one. That is a double edged sword will it match or will it not.
Intuition is a part of our survival instinct and one should not overrate it as magic or some divine intervention. It uses one’s senses and experience to come up with the best possible solution. Unfortunately intuition still tends to be a gamble even if a credible one.
